Editing Fields for People, Plots, Burials or Sales
Account Administrators of a Cemify Account have the ability to:
Add or Edit fields for People, Plots, Burials or Sales.

What is included in this article:
- 1) Editing a Field Category or Label
- 2) Changing the order of how fields appear on the page
- 3) Editing options for a field that has a drop down menu (labeled as 'Select from Options')
1) How to Edit the Field Category or Label
- Go to 'Account & system settings' from the top right menu:
- Under ‘SYSTEM CONFIGURATION’ go to ‘Field Configurations’:
- Select which page you want to edit:
- Then, locate the Field you want to edit. From there, type in the changes you want to make:
After you are done making your edits, please be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save Field Changes’. This will ensure all the changes you just made are permanently saved. If you do not click this button, the changes will not be saved:
- Your field should now be successfully edited!

2) Changing the order of how Fields appear on the page
- Go to 'Account & system settings' from the top right menu:
- Under ‘SYSTEM CONFIGURATION’ go to ‘Field Configuration’:
- Select which page you want to edit:
- Using the arrow buttons on the Left of each field, drag and drop the fields in the order you want them to appear:
After you are done making your edits please be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save Field Changes’. This will ensure all the changes you just made are permanently saved. If you do not click this button, the changes will not be saved:
- Your field should now be successfully edited!

3) Editing a field that has a drop down menu (labeled as 'Select from Options')
- Go to 'Account & system settings' from the top right menu:
- Under ‘SYSTEM CONFIGURATION’ go to ‘Field Configuration’:
- Select which page you want to edit:
- Locate the Field you want to edit. Then click the three-dot (ellipsis) button on the right to edit that field & click ‘Edit property details’:
- A screen will pop up that is titled ‘Add a new field to burial records’. Go into the field under ‘Selectable Options’ to add in another option. As it notes on the screen, separate each option with a comma. Then click ‘Add field’ when you are done:
- After you click ‘Add field’ be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save Field Changes’. This will ensure all the changes you just made are permanently saved. If you do not click this button, the changes will not be saved:
- Your field should now be successfully edited!
