Enabling Request to Buy on the Public Site
Overview
The Request to Buy feature lets cemeteries add a button to their public Plot Availability Map, allowing site visitors to request the purchase of available plots directly from the map.

How to Enable the "Request to Buy" Feature
Who Can Enable This Feature?
- Only users with Administrator access can enable the Request to Buy feature.
Steps to Enable:
- Go to Account & System Settings.
- In the left-hand menu, click Public Website.
- Select Plot Availability Map.
Scroll to the section titled:
Add “Request to Buy” Buttons to Public Map.
- Click Enable Request to Buy.
Note: The button will be disabled unless a Plot Availability Map is already configured. Please contact support@cemify.com for assistance.

Configuration Options
When enabling the feature, you'll see a modal with the following options:
• Available Statuses
Select one or more plot statuses where the “Request to Buy” button should appear.
Important: Plots will not be eligible if they already have a burial or an owner, even if the status matches.
• Users to Notify
Choose one or more users to be notified by email when a request is submitted.
Public Site Experience for Visitors
Once enabled, visitors will be able to:
- Open the Plot Availability Map on the Cemetery Public Site.
- Click on an available plot.
- Click the Request to Buy button:
- A window will pop up prompting the visitor to enter the following required information:
- (Optional) Click Add More Plots to Request to include additional plots.
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- (Optional) Notes
- Click Submit Request:
- The visitor then sees a confirmation message and receives a confirmation email:

- Cemetery staff (selected users) receive an email notification with a link to manage the request:

Account Admin Workflow: Handling Requests
If your cemetery has this feature enabled, incoming requests appear under the Sales tab in Cemify:
Request Management:
- Requests are listed from newest to oldest.
- Click Review next to any “New” request to take action.
Admin Options:
- Reject Request
- Add a rejection reason
- Optionally notify the requester via email
- Approve & Start Sale
- A new Person is created in Cemify using the submitted info
- A new Sale is started with the selected plots and linked to that Person
From there, proceed with your usual sale workflow (adding templates, purchaser details, etc.).
